"Yoshiki Classical" sees collaborations between Yoshiki and legendary Beatles producer Sir George Martin, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tokyo City Philharmonic Symphony and the Quartet San Francisco. The end result is a beautiful symphonic collection driven by soaring strings, smart piano pieces and the melodic style of Yoshiki's earlier work. Bringing this magnitude of work to the world stage should be a very entertaining event.

Most of you know Yoshiki as one of the biggest influences in the 'Visual Kei Movement' with X-Japan who is a rock band legend but, he is also a genius composer who has created some amazing works including the Golden Globe Theme in the U.S. Now if we could get him to release Violet UK, all would be perfect in the Jrock world!!

☄♪ Yoshiki to perform at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, California

Known best as Japanese rock band X-Japan's leader and drummer Yoshiki has announced through his Facebook page that he will be performing at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, California on February 19th, 2014. He will be performing his solo project "Yoshiki Classical" which JpopAsia reported the album release titled the same back in July 2013. Yoshiki will make a formal announcement with details soon according to his official Facebook page.

Yoshiki has been very busy as of late promoting his new limited edition headphones by Soul which you can watch his video below and order here which is in English and Japanese. The headphones also come with an autograph and comment on B2 size poster.

This will be Yoshiki's second announcement to perform in America in the past two weeks, the first performing at SXSW in Austin, Texas. Yoshiki has been a very involved participant in the Grammy Museum where he did an interview in August which can be viewed here. In that interview Yoshiki revealed he writes music without any instruments or ever hearing any of the song and plays it only after it is completed, an extrodinary and very difficult approach to writing music, basically unheard of. He also performed a special live on this occasion.

In 2012, Yoshiki composed the theme song for the 69th Golden Globe Awards, and on January 15, 2013, the theme was officially released through iTunes in 111 countries, with all proceeds being donated to charities chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association which is only one of the charities Yoshiki has donated. In 1995, in response to the Kobe earthquake, Yoshiki held an X Japan's Christmas Eve charity concert in Osaka, and presented the certifications of new pianos to students whose schools were damaged during the earthquake. Yoshiki is continuing the tradition of the late X Japan member Hide who was an active supporter of Make-A-Wish of Japan an official affiliate of Make-A-Wish International. Hide’s encouraging support for one girl in particular, who was a big X- Japan fan as she faced a life-threatening medical condition, continues to inspire people and remains a legacy.
